Imagine standing at the start line of a race that last six days and your goal is to run as many miles as you can in that period of time. Now imagine 90 degree heat and humidity and wind storms. That is what 65 year old ultra-runner Fran Libasci was up against in her recent quest to tame her fears, and run for days.
Fran started running at the age of 50, and never looked back. She’s run all over the world, in small races at midnight and through the five boroughs of New York City.
I had the pleasure of coaching Fran this season, and a big part of this conversation is about dreaming big, taming fears, training wisely, and setting yourself up for success.
You’ll learn how she navigated her fears to take on this challenge, how she prepared her mind and body to run for 6 days straight, and all the logistics and strategies that went into her successful quest to run 263 miles in 6 days.
Enjoy!
